Keeping track of my studies

I've been asked lately why I count all the hours I spend on my language studies. The answer is simple: it helps me concentrate on what I've already done. In my private calendar I note everything I do: studying grammatical rules, reading, listening, watching, speaking etc. Thanks to that I know if I did what I had planned and if I really focused on the things I wanted. And... how much effort it's taken to get me where I am.

Souvenirs from the holiday

Everytime I go on a holiday I fear that I will have to pay for an excess baggage. I can't help myself from buying new books, grammars and dictionaries. Last time the temptation was the bigger that I traveled to Spain and Portugal - and here in Poland it's impossible to buy a decent Portuguese dictionary or a novel in Portuguese.

Languages - progress: May 2013

In the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Madrid
May was another very good month when it comes to learning. I speeded up my Portuguese studies before heading to Portugal where I was to spend part of my holiday. I also took up to the Modern Standard Arabic which I enjoy more and more with every new lesson I study. May was also a month to refresh my Spanish in which I’m more or less fluent (diploma DELE) as Madrid was a first stop during this year's holiday.

Języki - postępy: maj 2013

Na dziedzińcu Pałacu Królewskiego w Madrycie
Maj był kolejnym dobrym miesiącem, jeśli chodzi o naukę. Przyspieszyłem studiowanie portugalskiego przed planowanym wyjazdem do Portugalii, gdzie miałem spędzić część wakacji.
